1. Agreement and scope
By creating an account or using Mission Impossible, you agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Payment terms presented in Stripe-hosted Checkout also apply to a purchase made there.
Mission Impossible is currently intended for users in the United States. We may change availability and features over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to use the service under applicable law. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use it, and that adult should review these Terms with you. Do not use Mission Impossible if you are legally barred from doing so. Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account, subject to applicable law.
3. What the app does
Mission Impossible helps people organize events, create and assign missions, submit text, photo, or video proof, review submissions, and track points and results. Users choose their own events, missions, participants, and any real-world activities. An in-app score or trophy does not create a cash prize, a guaranteed reward, or any obligation for us to provide a real-world reward. We are not the organizer of user-created events.
Basic participation and core gameplay are free. Optional Mission+ subscriptions and Premium Event Passes provide the features described in the app at the time of purchase. A host's premium event features can be available to all participants without requiring participants to pay.
4. Real-world safety and consent
Use your own judgment before creating, accepting, or performing a mission. Do not pressure anyone to participate. Follow the law, property and venue rules, and any applicable health and safety guidance. Never create or perform a mission involving dangerous stunts, trespassing, impaired driving, harassment, violence, unwanted recording, or other unsafe or non-consensual conduct. You may decline or leave an event or mission. If you face immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Other users' submissions and approvals are their own actions. We do not verify that a mission is safe, that proof is genuine, or that a participant has permission to record people or enter a location.
5. Your content and other users
You keep your rights in content you create or upload. You give JR Technologies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and transmit that content solely as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve Mission Impossible, including showing it to the people selected by the feature you use. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for lawful retention, technical backups, and records needed to preserve other users' event history as explained in our Privacy Policy.
You promise that you have the necessary rights and consent for content you provide, including permission from people shown or heard in uploaded media where required. Do not upload private information about others without authorization, infringe intellectual property, or submit unlawful content. You may encounter content made by other users; we do not endorse it.
6. Prohibited conduct and enforcement
Do not use the service to exploit minors, harass or threaten anyone, post non-consensual intimate imagery, promote illegal or dangerous activity, impersonate someone, send spam, interfere with the service, access another person's account or private data, bypass security or purchase controls, or abuse free grants, refunds, or promotions. Our Community Guidelines provide more detail.
We may review reports, remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with authorities when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people, prevent fraud, or comply with law. You can report a concern through the app or Support and request review of a moderation decision by emailing us.
7. Mission+ and Premium Event Passes
Mission+ is an auto-renewing subscription offered in monthly or annual periods. The app shows the current price, billing period, included features, and offer terms before you choose to buy. For eligible United States App Store storefronts, Mission opens Stripe-hosted Checkout in your browser. Stripe Managed Payments, through Link, acts as merchant of record for purchases completed there. The final price, taxes, and renewal terms are shown at checkout before payment. Mission does not collect your payment-card details.
Mission+ renews automatically until canceled. To manage or cancel it, open Profile → Plan and billing → Manage billing in Mission when that option is available. You can also use the billing and support links associated with your Link purchase or contact info@jrtechnologies.org if you cannot access billing management. Canceling stops future renewals according to the cancellation terms shown for your subscription; it does not itself refund a past charge. In-app account deletion requests cancellation of active Mission+ subscriptions and retries if Stripe is temporarily unavailable. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
A Premium Event Pass is a one-time, single-use purchase for one event. It is not a subscription and does not grant Mission+ account-wide features. A Pass or free premium event grant must be applied before an event starts. Premium features are fixed when the event starts; later subscription lapse, admin changes, or a refund do not change an event already in progress or completed. If a Pass is refunded before its event starts, that event may revert to the Standard experience. Refunded purchases may also reduce future entitlements.
For a refund request or transaction question, use the Link support and order-management information associated with your purchase or see Refunds & Support. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase terms and applicable law. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights.
8. Service and account changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain or improve the service, address safety or security issues, or comply with law. We will give notice when required. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that user-created content will always be available. Canceling or losing Mission+ will not rewrite completed scores or started events, although access to account-level premium views may end.
You may stop using the service and request account deletion through the app. Deletion does not automatically remove finalized event records needed for other participants' history; your name is replaced with “Deleted User” in those records. See Account Deletion and our Privacy Policy for details. For substantiated abuse, a moderator may temporarily suspend access for 1–30 days, with a seven-day default and a support appeal. We request cancellation of Mission+ renewal when suspension begins; the current paid period is not shortened. We may terminate access as described above, subject to applicable law.
9. Intellectual property
The app, website, design, and JR Technologies marks belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended. They do not transfer ownership of our software or marks to you. Feedback you voluntarily send may be used to improve the service without payment, but this does not transfer ownership of your other content.
10. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not responsible for user-created missions, user conduct, real-world event conditions, or disputes between participants. These disclaimers do not exclude any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, JR Technologies LLC and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the service. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for our fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence where applicable law forbids such a limit.
11. Governing law and disputes
Wyoming law governs these Terms, without its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your state provides otherwise. Courts with jurisdiction in Wyoming may hear disputes arising from these Terms, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Before filing a claim, you may contact us at info@jrtechnologies.org so we can try to resolve the issue informally. This paragraph does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or exercising non-waivable rights.
12. Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms. We will post the updated version and date here and provide additional notice when required or when changes materially affect your rights. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent allowed by law. If you do not agree, stop using the service and you may request account deletion.
